The DPAA’s Partnerships & Innovation Directorate hosted the annual Partnership Symposium at @CranfieldUni in Bedford, England. The event brought together global partners to exchange knowledge, streamline processes, and strengthen collaboration in support of DPAA’s mission.

Airmen who volunteered to serve on recovery missions in Germany and United Kingdom were available to discuss their experiences in the field and share the story of the DPAA mission.​ @RamsteinAirBase

Last week, the 86th Air Wing at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, invited DPAA Detachment Europe to join their POW/MIA Remembrance Week events, starting with a DPAA display at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center mall.

U.S. Air Force Capt. Jennifer Vella, acting DPAA records manager, spoke at St. Albans National Cemetery during a moving ceremony on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, Sept. 19, that unveiled markers honoring 21 service members from NYC still missing from the Vietnam War.

DPAA’s detachment two joined U.S. Ambassador Marc E. Knapper and U.S. Army Col. Richard Chen, Senior Defense Official/Defense Attaché, in Hanoi to honor National POW/MIA Recognition Day, Sept. 19. Together, they laid a wreath before the Missing Man table to pay tribute.

Following the ceremony, the remains were then transported to the Daniel K. Inouye DPAA Center of Excellence in Hawaii where an honorable carry ceremony was held. Service members and civilians rendered solemn honors before the remains entered forensic analysis.

DPAA service members and U.S. Marines from the @USEmbassyPOM to Papua New Guinea conducted a repatriation ceremony Sept. 24 at the conclusion of mission 25-4PG in Papua New Guinea, honoring the return of possible U.S. personnel remains recovered during the mission.
