Dodder Action is an action group set up to improve the Dodder River for the well-being and enjoyment of local communities.

We’re going to tackle the Bottle Swamp again next Sunday 20 July. Meet at the bridge on Whitestown Drive at 10.00. We need people to go in the water and people to work the bank. Lots of nettles and briars so wear appropriate clothing and bring strong gloves.

The Dodder Source Walk from Lough Bray to the source of the Dodder and back to Bohernabreena Reservoir 26th July. Meet 7am Farmer Browns Clonskeagh or 7.15 Balally Luas stop for bus to Lough Bray Upper car park. Bus €15 from Eventbrite. Return from Reservoir not incl in price.

Join us on Wednesday 11th June at 7pm when we're going FORAGING WITH FEEBEE. Meet at the gates to Dodder Valley Park opposite the Speaker Connolly. Tickets: €11.70 available from Eventbrite. Places are limited to 15 people. Children under 10 go free, dogs on leads welcome.

As part of Biodiversity Week Dodder Action volunteers will be cleaning the recently upgraded Killinarden Park. We will meet at 10.00 on Wednesday 21st May at the park entrance beside Croi Ro Naoife GAA Club. We will provide pickers and bags, but please bring your own gloves.

A few images from Saturday’s clean up of a section of the Whitestown Stream. 11 volunteers collected 26 bags of rubbish plus assorted metal and wood. There’s a lot more to be done and we will be back over the coming weeks.

A big thank you to the 17 amazing people from Dodder Action and Cherryfield Dog Walkers who came out this morning to clean the Cherryfield section of Dodder Valley Park. We were blessed with glorious weather and were amazed at just how much rubbish we picked up.
