Lacrosse first appeared in the Olympics in St. Louis, Missouri in 1904. Canada was represented by the Winnipeg Shamrocks. The U.S.A. team was represented by the St. Louis Amateur Athletic Association. Canada won the Gold Medal game, in front of 60,000 fans, 8-2 over the Americans
