Something that has persisted through all of my personal systems is a structured daily journaling practice. Each day I write in specific categories. The categories are flexible, and over time I run experiments to improve them. Today I ran such an experiment...

This marks a transition in my blog, which used to be called "Human Programming". Now it's just "Daniel Sosebee" and I'll be writing about whatever I feel like. Including lots of human programming :)

Oh yeah - I'm publishing a blog post every Wednesday this year! The one above is a bit of a kick-off, giving an overview of my 2025, in particular how my post-viral fatigue issues came to be and how I've dealt with them (that was the big story this year)

For example, I might decide relationships deserves its own section. Or, its own axis... Well, adding axes to my journal is probably too complicated. The point is, I can explore these ideas, and throw out the bad ideas after trying them (or even before). ...

Of course this new structure wasn't perfect - I soon realized that I wished to write about more than just (A)chievements for each relationship, though I did find that to be an acceptable entry point to more free-form reflection...

I found I could direct positive attention towards my cherished relationships by reflecting on recent experiences and writing specifically about "what might I do with this person in the future that would be even more supportive / fun / [insert positive adjective here]?" ...
