Rafflesia ini masih menyimpan banyak misteri. Mulai dari bagaimana bijinya menyebar, berkecambah dan menginfeksi inangnya. Yang jelas, setelah berkecambah, Rafflesia hanya berupa sel2 meristematik yang ada dan menyebar di jaringan xylem inangnya.

Tapi orang Mentawai (dan juga Nias), yg notabene Austronesia-nya scr genetik jauh lebih dominan & hampir tanpa Austroasiatik, justru umumnya terlihat “lebih Chinese”
It’s because Javanese people, despite being an austronesian language group, have significant Austroasiatic DNA (think of Vietnamese people, Khmer, Laotians)
