We normally don't call out biz that are holding domains for ransom. But @Truth2iT is holding 2 former clients' domains, a non-profit. The biz uses fake addresses in Shelton, CT and in Bay Harbor Islands, FL. The owner made the mistake of giving them access to the GoDaddy acct.

Another successful stolen domain name returned to its owner (thanks to us). Company purchased domain via @Afternic, then months later it went missing from their @GoDaddy account along with other names. All the names are now back in their account. #domains #stolendomain.

OK this is new. You can't make this up. Guy registers domain. But he didn't trust WHOIS privacy, so he makes up a "fake name" to put on the WHOIS record. Now the domain is stolen, he was hacked. Registrar @Hostinger won't speak with him--it's a fake name on the account.

Website provider admits that they've stolen domain names that their client actually owns. Client paid them--no product delivered. Client files chargeback. Provider had already logged into client account hosting and transferred domains to themselves. #domains #domaintheft

@Hostinger The web designer is reportedly in Dallas. We will be informing them of their domain name theft and extortion. And that they need to return the domain names to the owner. Should we name and shame them if not returned?.

We're helping a client recover stolen domain names. A hired web designer transferred the domains to themselves—now demanding more money to give them back. Straight-up theft and extortion. Domain names were stolen from @Hostinger.
