@antonio_diavolo @basedgizmo “If you don’t like it, don’t go to the theater,” and then nobody does and the theater dies. When you go to a movie theater, you’re paying a premium for a better experience than you’d have at home. If the experience is worse because people are on their phones, there’s no point.

@MiddleearthMixr Nah, I think smartphones did. The internet used to be a place. You would "go on the computer." It was an activity that warranted a space in your home, so people designed around that. Now most people do most of their computing from smartphones, and desktops are especially niche.

@lodgepolepines The real problem is the lack of mobility. Anyone can make $15 / hour at Starbucks, but considering inflation in groceries and rent, that’s not worth a whole lot these days. And it’s normal enough to be broke when you’re young, but the prospects for growth are pretty grim atm.

@B0bduh I agree with the sentiment, but RDR2 isn't a great example of this because all those little environmental details are sort of the point of the game. It's a slice of life in that era in history. The gameplay itself is arguably less important than experiencing the environment.

@Gingerblast The issue with dirtying the bottom isn't having to wash both sides (as people are commenting on) -- it's handling them. If you stack a plate on top of one that someone had been eating pancakes off of, someone's going to have to pry them apart and get syrup on their hands.
