Finally got my MCON controller from @ohsnapgrip yesterday. I was looking forward to it of course, but I love it wayyyy more than I was expecting!

Hot take: if the MCU wants to keep rehashing the MCU, just reboot the thing from the ground up. It’s been almost 20 years since the MCU first started anyway. It’s just crapping on its own legacy at this point.

I’m old enough to remember when some of the best video game guides on the internet were basically massive TXT files.

I believe a lot of the challenge around learning is psychological. Like we don’t feel like we’re smart enough to learn something. I don’t feel like an intelligent person at all; I feel like a person who decided that I was not going to let my ignorance get to me and choose to

In this #livecoding stream, we'll build on part 1, where we were first introduced to agents and coded a simple Strands agent, including agentic tool use. We're going to take things a step further by addressing two additional important elements for agentic AI: memory and

Been helping the yoga studio I teach with their technical needs. They chose to go with Google Workspaces at the get go, and man… what a great choice. Google has really done an amazing job at giving anything a small to mid-sized business would need.

Writing documentation by hand to support some internal thing at work. How you can be sure I’m doing this by hand and not with AI: I keep finding a bunch of stupid typos I made. 😂

I went to a Christian undergrad that focused on majors like preaching, youth ministry, etc. One piece of advice I heard from a professor there: when you become a pastor of a church, do not make any changes for the first year but focus on establishing relationships. There’s not a

Interesting: Ordered something from a site that isn’t Amazon and doesn’t sell anything on Amazon, but it’s being delivered by Amazon.

My “conspiracy theory” on why we’ve seen several major outages recently is that people are exercising the use of GenAI-powered coding tools more and more and not reviewing the outputs correctly.

It’s CMD + crtl + Q on a Mac to lock your screen, in case you’re wondering. You might be wondering, “Why not just press the lock button?” It’s because the display doesn’t turn off on my Mac when I do that. It only turns off if I do the hot key. 🤷🏽♂️

Just had a weird thing happen: I have used a particular hotkey function for years, multiple times a day, and when I just tried to explain to somebody what it is, I completely blanked on it. I had to force myself to subconsciously do it, and only that way could I remember it.

If I had a nickel for every random GenAI vendor who has reached out and asked if they can show me their demo at Re:invent this year (which I will not be in attendance for), I’d be able to treat myself to a nice steak dinner. 😂

Damn… wishing all the best for Ubisoft. They may have made some questionable choices these last few years, but they’ve still produced a lot of my favorite games.
Abruptly at the last minute, Ubisoft has halted trading of its shares and postponed its earnings call today. This may suggest that material news about the company and its future trajectory is imminent.

Just finished Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and man… I am disappointed. Not a terrible game but very mid. IMO both HW2 and 3 took a big step backwards in terms of gameplay from HW1. There was an element of strategy in 1 that is basically non existent in 2 and 3.
