Disabled people, remember: when you’re having a good day walking and you BEGIN to get tired, turn back, that initial tiredness is your halfway mark.

Cheers to the delivery guy who saw me out of my wheelchair and asked, "should I say congratulations?" I said, "nah, I'm in and out as I need it. It's a helpful tool." He responded, "oh ok!" Nondisabled ppl, learn to ask rather than assume or project. It really is that easy.

No, for real, I’ve just learned that the young person that GROWN ASS woman was harassing on tiktok about “faking a disability” felt the need to post their medical records online to prove they’re really disabled. Fuck any and all that feel entitled to our medical records to

It’s time to stop pathologising autistic behaviours: Obsessive -> Passionate Rigid -> Structured Fussy -> Specific Demanding -> Self-Protective Dramatic -> Sensitive Childish -> Youthful Unsociable -> Independent Weird -> Unique Lazy -> Out of Energy Stubborn -> Consistent

They shock inmates too. Even if you were okay with that you need to ask yourself why are they treating disabled kids like inmates.

Imagine a school system where autistics could study all subjects through the lens of our special interests. What would our education experiences have been like if our autistic interests were valued, our passions explored, our enthusiasm respected?

To any autistic that needs to hear this today: There is no shame in using ear plugs. During the day. Out of the house. Anywhere. If the non-accommodating world is too loud, tune it out. Let's take care or ourselves.

The thing I LOVE about being a disability advocate WITH DISABILITIES, is it doesn’t matter if you’re talking about the most horrific things about ableism, some Abled asshat will ignore everything you just said only to reply with: “don’t you mean people with disabilities?”
