The Shickluna Shipyard, the site of 60+ years of shipbuilding on the Welland Canal (1828-1891), is currently at risk. We are urging the City of St. Catharines to stop municipal development at this registered archaeological site - please sign the petition.

Important article and media on the impacts of climate change to archaeological sites in Canada. Here in Niagara, portions of the second and third Welland Canal are currently at risk, with sections of lock walls collapsing as a result of flooding.
