Today I learned that greenhouse gases take about 50 yrs to be released from the atmosphere. Even if we stop our emissions today, our climate will continue to change for the next 50 years- and it’s already hot, y’all. Look at what’s happening to our planet.

The July climate outlook from @NWSCPC favors a hotter and drier than average July for regions out West which just experienced a record setting heatwave. Meanwhile, a cooler and wetter month is forecast for the Southeast.

John Edmonstone, a Black man, TAUGHT CHARLES DARWIN ABOUT BIRDS 🤯 Originally from Guyana, Edmonstone was a trained #taxidermist that collected and studied #birds. He went on to teach at the University of Edinburgh were he met Darwin.
