The only benefit from Industrial revolution and "modernity" is that many communicable diseases are curable and people don't die of dysentery in their 20s. But it has created huge damage to society and mental wellbeing of humans. Man is separated from nature and disrespects it.
The Industrial Revolution improved everyoneās life, in the long run. But in the medium run, it caused the rise of communism, the murder of capitalists, and the advent of world war. Technological advance caused political chaos. Then again, would you prefer no electricity?.
