To be clear, the timeline is being dictated by a legislature that seems inclined to pass an elected, 21-person school board @chicagosmayor does not want. Time is nearly gone for her to offer a hybrid, or other alternative, with any hope of passage.
Today on the elected school board, responding to a @dgreising column, Lightfoot said: "That will happen on a timeline that makes sense, not a timeline someone tries to dictate to me.".

Richard Driehaus has died. He was a longtime BGA supporter and namesake of the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Awards for Investigative Reporting. His impact on journalism, architecture and preservation will go on. via @crainschicago.
