Any time soon lads: . “The difficulties in debunking the myth about FUFA’s role in developing Ugandan football highlight the persistent problems that Ugandan football will continue to face. I have always maintained that FUFA is an institution of organized crime in Uganda.”

Poverty doesn’t dull brilliance, it corrupts it, forcing sharp minds to trade integrity for cash just to survive. Hamza is another great lad that you’d love to talk to any moment and time but… He magogo’d.

This is what’s going on at vipers SC with mulindwa. Deeply attached to the club he built, Mulindwa often makes big spending moves to “show dominance” against rivals rather than measured financial decisions. That’s why until now, no one can tell what’s the real vision of vipers SC.

Look at mujib kasule and proline: Being the club founder and a lifelong lover of the game, Kasule often held onto players because of personal history, even when bigger structural changes were needed. Fan pride in “developing our own” sometimes outweighed business reality.

The same thing has been going on in Ugandan football. look at what happened with Julius Kabugo. He loved the club deeply, but his emotional attachment sometimes made him keep certain players and coaches longer than performance warranted.

He signed stars like Beckham, figo and neglected squad balance especially in defensive positions. What happened? . Real Madrid went three seasons without a major trophy (2003–2006) despite having some of the world’s best attackers. Why? “Emotional excitement”.

This happened to Florentino Perez in Real Madrid (First Galácticos Era) and he even mentioned it, he loved big names because he was a long term supporter of the club and thought this approach would thrill the fans.

I think one of the biggest issues football fans in Uganda don’t understand is how this game is run. Your first and biggest mistake as a CEO is being a fan of the club you run. The reason as to why she keeps making costly mistakes is being too emotionally attached.

Where do you want them to go? That’s the country the government, which promised them 1.2 billion, has spent 40 years building. Let’s deal with reality. You know Ugandans love a lot of cosmetic treatment.

By contrast, Vipers’ players reportedly earn between $300 and $800 monthly. This financial reality limits Vipers to working around local, less experienced talent, while Simba and Yanga attract top regional stars.

This is the reason why people like Mulindwa will ever never be recognized. Simba and Yanga benefit from massive sponsorships. Simba’s kit deal alone is reportedly worth over $400,000 per year, dwarfing anything in Uganda. It enables them to pay players monthly salaries up to $15k.

Our league needs to get sponsorships, infrastructures, tv coverage and fans engagement. We need quality and the best players to play in the league too. Business men and companies must come on board and invest resources into Our league . We can do better and continue to grow
