Eremika in the manga just hits different.
How even with Eren going all crazy with shattered memories Mikasa was still the center of all his memories and the fact that the moment between them at the end of s2 is so personal to him.

After reading this chapter you realize "call my name" is literally Eren's feelings for Mikasa. Remember Mikasa's mom was pregnant with a baby boy before she was killed. Eren wanted to live peacefully with Mikasa but he lost himself in the disaster. I'm not OKAY.
