Howard Thurman, a prolific African American philosopher and theologian, was born #OnThisDay in 1899. The Florida native enjoyed a joint appointment as professor of religion & Director of Religious Life at @Morehouse & @SpelmanCollege in Atlanta, GA in the 1920s.
