There are inquisitive nerds with deep expertise and strong opinions everywhere, not just in tech. The reality is these folks often operate in rigorous spaces with tangible consequences. In comparison, we're grunting apes that throw poop at each other. TL;DR Stay humble 🙏🏾

As I sit on a plane headed home after a week of travel, my thoughts keep coming back to the Paradox of Tolerance.

She picks me up when I fall. She helps me piece myself together when I fall apart. She entertains my silliness. She forgives my forgetfulness. She calls me out on my bullshit. She makes me want to keep evolving into a better person and a better partner.

She loves me when I have trouble loving myself. She reminds me of my value when I feel worthless. She brings me down to earth when my head gets lost in the clouds. She finds beauty in me that I don't see in myself.

She believes in me when hardly anyone else does. She gives me confidence in myself when I lack it. She's supported me unconditionally every time a new opportunity presented itself, even when it stretched beyond my existing skill set, regardless of the uncertainty involved.

Absolutely and way beyond just holding down the fort (with three young children) while I'm attending conferences. @lattesnmomwords is just as much responsible for my career success, if not more so, than all the hard work and networking I've done personally.
