We are sad to report the passing of Phil Drucker, co-founder of Savage Republic and 17 Pygmies who leaves behind an amazing legacy of music. As a professor of Constitutional Law, he was a beloved mentor. RIP Phil, your music and spirit live on! @IndependentIPR

Definitely the vibe! Was that SRL/Neubauten show at the On Broadway? If so, I was there too. Amazing night!.
@desolationcent I may have missed those shows but caught Sonic Youth & Savage Republic in SF as well as an amazing SRL/Neubauten show. My wife lit Blixa’s cigarette for him! We avoided dehydration but I’m pretty sure we both have a little permanent hearing damage 👂💥🖤.

Yep, this is Stuart tweetin' away here. The Desolation Center shows were back in the Dark Ages before medical science proved that terrible music combined with dehydration could be lethal.

@desolationcent I read about the Desolation Center shows in a magazine about a year after they happened, had I only known. It would have been my Woodstock. It WAS excellent programming, y'all hit my personal demographic bullseye so well done. 💀🎸⚙️🔨🔥🤘🖤.
