I think a conversation starter and a way to help people recognize you works wonders for meeting others at cons/meets, and suits do both very well At MP 2024, I realized my camera and orange beanie did just that, which made making new friends so much easier

As someone w/o one, imo suits do make it easier to make friends—just in the same way that other hobbies do Suiting is particularly effective since it's hyper-visible and enjoyed by almost everyone, so it's easier for new people to break the ice when they might not have otherwise
the double standard of having a fursuit vs not having one in this fandom is something that needs to be acknowledged more. prior to having a suit very few talked to me, i got one and instantly started making more friends, fitting in & invited to private events

Woah hello everyone :0 thank you for all the support! Since a lot of new people seem to be coming across this and some are confused about how it was made—I used Blender for the 3D work and Resolve Fusion for compositing! No genAI :)

For no reason at all, I'm reminded of how a very specific snowcat assumed this was made with genAI, and replied gleefully about how pressed artists were getting about the trend It's deleted now (lol. lmao even.), but I don't buy it when they say they respect artists...

Maybe I’ve just been really lucky but I don’t think I’ve ever experienced or observed this, to myself or anyone else Not saying that this doesn’t happen, because I’m sure it does, but I’ve yet to meet anyone that intentionally does this, which does fill me with hope tbh
If you fall under any of these categories, so many other furries want nothing to do with you: - You don't have a cute fursuit - You're not a toned twink - Your numbers on social media aren't big - You don't jump right to sex - You have literally any opinion different from theirs
