We lost another great chef: Eileen Yin-Fei Lo, who helped Americans cook authentic Chinese food, passed away on Nov. 13 at age 85. Ms. Lo wrote 11 cookbooks, won a James Beard Award, and taught at De Gustibus Cooking School multiple times. And she will be missed.

We were saddened to learn that chef-restaurateur King Phojanakong has passed away. A native New Yorker, he had worked at Daniel and was on the original team of David Bouley’s Danube. In 2003, he opened Kuma Inn. He will be missed.

We are sad to hear that chef-restaurateur Michael Ginor has passed away at age 59. He was best known for his restaurant Lola in Great Neck and for his Hudson Valley Foie Gras. Ginor taught at De Gustibus several times in the early 2000s and he will be missed.
