Usually our cats alert us to their presence and they are caught and put back outside. This time the cats weren’t interested, which should have been a clue. We prepared to catch it with a plastic container. Reader, it was a hair band. 2/2

While trying to get a pen that had fallen behind a sofa cushion, my husband thought he saw a lizard. Since we occasionally get some of our infamous Cincinnati Lazarus lizards sneaking into the house, it wasn’t a far fetched thought. 1/2

As someone who can't even sing Happy Birthday in tune, I am blown away.
The first time I heard something like this I was 22 and just happened to walk into a cathedral while in France. They were only practicing and it literally stopped me in my tracks. It was like heaven opened up. How did Catholics trade this for what sounds like bad 70s music?

I’ve been finishing up an MG project I set aside awhile ago and using a Save the Cat guide to tighten it up. I’m about 3/4 thru the manuscript but thought I should now revise the synopsis. Save the Cat is very useful for MG stories where you’re limited in word count #amwriting

I’ll never forget the sleep deprivation, though my children are all adults now. People should just let parents vent a little now and then.
I got accused of being a "terrible parent" yesterday. For saying it's hard to enjoy *every* moment while severely sleep-deprived... I adore my child. I'd also love to sleep through the night again. These things can co-exist. This app is so ridiculous now.

We’ve discovered that leaving out this box has helped our anxious cat. She sits in it frequently and it’s the right height to look out of to keep track of the imaginary dangers in our house, like loud noises.
