Is anyone working on good ways to finance NFT purchases e.g. with CDPs?. Feels like we need a standard that lets one entity "own" the NFT but another one "bear" it. Kind of like registrant/controller distinction in ENS.

Maybe have a mechanism where you can have like 1/3rd of the token can start an auction. Then the auction proceeds get divided amongst the token holders.

Where things get tricky is making it possible to take the token back out. The simplest method is to say 100% of token supply => you can withdraw the underlying NFT. But then anyone can block withdrawal with a tiny amount of token. Veto-ocracy.

In effect, the bearer would be a separate NFT that is “backed by” the underlying NFT, and can be “recalled” to a new owner by burning the token.

It’s awkward that you can only do price discovery on a NFT by offering full ownership. Thinking about mechanisms that offer meaningful fractional ownership of NFTs. For example:. A NFT with a token and a “bearer”. If you burn 1% of the current token supply, you can change bearer.
