It's now official: "Patching the Puncture, The Dementia Journey Continues" will be released on 28th Feb 2026. @PeterBe1130 & I are delighted with this & also with how many wonderful people/organisations have penned touching endorsements for the front/back & inside covers.

Great interview conducted by @Being_Patient_ last night. Here's a taster. @PeterBe1130 manages to 'model' "Slow Puncture" & there is discussion on the book (& the new one) as well as the importance of maintaining #socialconnections in order to live well with #dementia.

That’s a really surprising statistic. I am pleased that my own book (“Slow Puncture, Living well with Dementia”, published in Welsh by @YLolfa) is in that percentage. I’m not sure how well the works of Shakespeare translate, but that would be my choice.

Peter was interviewed by Being Patient about six years ago so this will be a fascinating glimpse into managing the inevitable changes that come with a diagnosis as well as an in the moment look at our friendship.

Being part of @AlzAuthors has been a fantastic experience for me & encouraged me to continue writing abt @PeterBe1130. It was wonderful to be part of your 10 year celebrations. Thanks for giving me airspace to plug our new book, “Patching the Puncture”, released in Feb 2026.

Peter Berry was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s at 50. Instead of letting it define him, he and his friend Deb Bunt became a dynamic duo—cycling buddies and co-authors! Together, they’re rewriting what life with dementia looks like.
