Nemo episcopari: nobody will be bishoped. Me, on why the CofE is suddenly finding it difficult to appoint bishops, and why their analysis misses the key question: are the right people being considered in the right way? The answer, my friends, is no. https://t.co/SiO98DePM3

Nolo episcopari. These were the words a person was expected to say on being offered an episcopal see. It basically translates as ‘Don’t bishop me!’ and goes back to at least St Ambrose, who so wanted...

2/2 Nobody should under estimate how much heavy lifting it takes to deliver such progress within the CofE,much of it unacknowledged behind the scenes. Now we start another chapter to deliver the Jay recommendations for fully independent Safeguarding. It will not be easy.

Brilliant article exposing the @CofE’s false faith in top down management and the destruction of local community.

I always thought ‘Drop Kick me Jesus through the Goalposts of Life’ was Jimmy Buffet’s most memorable song title.

In interview with Cathy Newman, Archbishops’ Council member Jamie Harrison says that Meg Munn retained to preserve “ business as usual” … err wasn’t Ms Munn & “business as usual” where it all went wrong?!!’

People sit around saying "what should we permit women to do?," but when we read Scripture we can see that #DeborahDid, #WomenDid, and God called them to leadership and empowered them. #TellHerStory #Judges4and5 Pls share if you agree! https://t.co/fOYqhAyMf8

I understand that the King asked for this poem by ⁦@malcolmguite⁩ to be read at the Royal Carol Service. It deserves to be read everywhere this Christmas.

Here's what happens when you negotiate a really quick, really bad deal with NZ. Compare the EU's experience to our own. (They negotiated slowly, from a position of strength.) We've chosen to destroy UK farming in between 6 and 16 years. The EU has protected its farmers forever.
