Our U15 Soccer team had an impressive 2-0 win over Carrigtwohill Community College in the Cork Cup recently. Goals from Javier Garcia and Jaidee Foley were enough  to see DCS through to the next round. 👏🏻⚽️

Our 5th & 6th Year Applied Maths and Physics students attended the STEM South West Expo 2025 at Cork City Hall. The event showcased how STEM careers and education can be used to address real world problems. Thanks to Mr. Finn and Ms. Hurley for organising such an inspiring trip.

Our 6th Year German students recently attended the Film Festival in Cork to watch the German language film “Zwei zu Eins”. The film was set in East Germany during the 1990’s reunification era. It depicted life in eastern Germany before and after the Berlin Wall came down. 🇩🇪

Our Senior Soccer team’s unbeaten run continues in the Munster Senior Cup with a strong performance against Coláiste Íde agus Iosef, Abbeyfeale. Goals from Ross O’Herlihy and Sean McNamee secured their place in the quarter-finals in two weeks’ time. Well done, lads! 👏⚽️

Last Friday 4th and 5th year students attended a screening of the French film “En Fanfare” as part of the Cork Film Festival’s Schools Programme at The Arc Cinema. The students thoroughly enjoyed this very engaging film. Les élèves ont vraiment apprécié leur journée au cinéma. 🇫🇷

DCS Science Week 2025 was packed with challenges and plenty of hands-on fun! From organ dissections to our Junior Science Quiz, students immersed themselves in science all week. Well done to our 6th Year students who represented the school at the ISTA Senior Science Quiz in UCC.
