Galvestonian Jack Johnson was known worldwide as the first African American heavyweight boxing champion. His July 4, 1910 title defense over James Jeffries was termed the “Fight of the Century” & ended with Johnson, “The Galveston Giant,” knocking out the ex-champ.

4th BEST Track Team in the great State of Texas - - Long season, tough competetion, and some tough breaks but in the end Cinco girls take 4th overall up from last years 6th. Heidi was top scorer with 12 pnts, Michelle next with 8 pnts, ALL 4 State scorers return next year.
