There's a whole genre of startup LinkedIn and Twitter that just copy pastes YC advice as their own, and each time I see the same tagline I go a little more insane.

browser sandboxes for AI training. Super cool, much needed. It's a PITA to test your AI agent or models against the real world internet, so it's really cool to see sandbox environments and data to speed up computer use AI training.

Halluminate (@HalluminateAI) provides data and environments to train computer-use AI. Model labs and enterprises partner with Halluminate to accelerate the development of frontier computer/browser use agents. Congrats on the launch, @Jerr_Wu & @wgm752!.

The good thing about a GCP outage is that when I'm having cloud problems, my customers are actually having bigger cloud problems and don't care about mine.

Thinking of giving an AI RAG access to our whole Notion and then just let VCs ask my RAG agent questions about our startup instead of actually pitching.

The "what is a 105 IQ person's idea of a 130 IQ movie" is antithetical to art. You can enjoy art without turning it into professional improvement min-maxing. Same energy as when the answer to "what's your favorite book" is only non-fiction. Steve Jobs would roll over in his grave.

I'm messing around with durable compute frameworks, and I can't help but think that maybe I should just write Erlang/Elixir code.

This workflow remains undefeated for writing sales emails:. 1. copy your sales email into Claude.2. ask Claude to make it more concise.3. ask Claude to write it at a 7th grade reading level. Once you dumb down to 5th grade it sounds a little too stupid (sorry 5th graders!).

Instead, use webpage screenshots. But be wary of LLM costs. Tricks to reduce cost with Playwright:. - screenshot of the subset of the page you care about.- set up a DOM mutation watcher and take screenshots only when it triggers.- capture images at reduce JPEG quality or scale.

You need to interact with the webpage to expose information. This means analyzing the website after each button press, scroll, etc. Unfortunately, most HTML is super messy, so if you'r asking an AI to find the right button to click on, it will have a hard time.

If you're using LLMs to scrape websites, the simplest solution is clean the HTML and feed it into an LLM. But this breaks on Javascript-heavy sites. This is because React apps, etc. have their web contents buried inside JSX files and the API calls they make. How do you fix it?.

Crazy the amount of startup wannabe engagement you can get just by copy-pasting things from Y Combinator's blog.
