Nav3 seems to me a very important milestone for Compose, as you can finally use an official and robust Compose navigation, avoiding third party libraries. Once you use Nav3, it seems natural to stick to the AAC ViewModel. As always, I am very interested in your point of view.

On LinkedIn, as a comment to this post, I shared my thoughts on #Compose #Multiplatform:. @kotlin #KMP.

I can only find one project mentioning Firebase, and it's very specific about Gemini:.

At @kotlinconf last month, Jeffrey Van Gogh (from Google) announced that @Firebase SDK for #Kotlin #Multiplatform is going to be one of the projects of Google Summer of Code 2025. He says it here at minute 32:30: Does anybody have any updates?.#GSoC2025.

#KotlinConf25 in a wrap:.- Compose stable on iOS.- Hot Reload working splendidly.- AI agents coding faster than humans.- Google is working hand-in-hand with JetBrains on Compose.- Gradle and JetBrains designing a modern declarative build system.- Meta joined the Kotlin Foundation.

Now that @Meta has joined the @kotlin Foundation, will they finally rewrite the Facebook app in #Compose #MultiPlatform, dropping ReactNative for good?.Facebook mobile app is such a disgrace! By far the worse app I have in my phone.

I am watching the talk about #Compose #Multiplatform on iOS by @sebi_io at @kotlinconf .I am blown away!!!.The implementation is just amazing. It feels very native to iOS: with same iOS animations, gestures, keyboard interop, accessibility. And hot reload has finally arrived too!.

Google might not officially talk about Compose Multiplatform yet, but they are definitely working hand-in-hand with JetBrains.

@funky_muse We've split Navigation 3 into two modules, a runtime module that depends on Compose Runtime and a ui module that depends on Compose UI, so we're ready for KMP!. We've been working with the Compose Runtime and Jetbrains to support as many platforms as possible.

Does Google really need to wait Google I/O 2026 for mentioning Compose Multiplatform?.

#Google currently (in 2025) seems a little bit ambiguous about #KMP. It's just mentioned for sharing business logic, neglecting that #Compose is also made production-ready for KMP by their Kotlin Foundation partner JetBrains. I guess it's to not piss off #Flutter devs, just yet. .

#Google is already releasing #Kotlin #Multiplatform libraries with the same top quality (tier 1) across Android, iOS and Desktop. They also started experimenting with Web/Wasm (currently given tier 3). Some of these libraries are: Room, Sqlite, Datastore.

Just added to the repo readme:."The D-KMP architecture was conceived in 2020, when nobody expected that Compose would have become a first-class UI toolkit also for iOS. Since May 2025, using Compose MultiPlatform has become the preferred KMP solution.".

5 years ago, #KMP made #Swift useless for the business logic. Now, #Compose for iOS stability is making #SwiftUI useless for the UI. We can now go #Kotlin all the way!.Big thanks to the team at @jetbrains, you built an amazing ecosystem! Looking forward to KotlinConf 2025.

Statista just added the 2023 stats for the most popular mobile cross-platform mobile frameworks. #KMP is still very behind, but growing. Not sure how reliable these stats are, but I guess we'll see a steep increase of KMP in the next 2-3 years.
