often lost in thought, often finding himself needing a break—- gaze focused on nothing in particular. maybe it was the chimeras in the distance… (they look ever so familiar), though it’s closer to spacing out, dare to call it an act of.

it’s popped into his mouth—- despite the way his face scrunches up from the taste alone. awful, just awful. “what unfavorable habits could possibly arise from having something that tastes good? aren’t kids supposed to have nice things?”.

“mydeimos!” he approaches the other, though not paying attention to what she might be busy with or doing. “come, take a walk with me—- or maybe we can spar?” …it sounds normal enough, doesn’t it?.

the one people seek for comfort. maybe he’s growing too tired. that spark in his eyes, once bright and full of life, a little duller, a little… less. less of everything. what he seeks is normalcy—- something to ground him. something….

anxiety seeps in like a parasitic disease. into his blood, into his bones. it’s never been so bad, though maybe—- everything is catching up to him. he’s usually better at pretending. isn’t he supposed to be the one everyone looks to?.
