The right way to go about it is to realize that across a number of version changes, even if the responses vary in tone, there will be a reliable consistency in character. Anthropic's Claude, and OpenAI's ChatGPT will be converging to a mean that we will get accustomed to.

And when the tone of their response changes, you don't dispassionately evaluate it, but react emotionally. Will now they judge me? Will I have to be cautious around them? Are they going to laugh at me behind my back? You generalize the change in response to the whole.

You can receive positive or negative evaluations of the documents you upload, run the same query ten times over, show your weakness. the models will be always there, unfazed. They will respond, patiently, without being condescending.

The reason there's such a backlash against new AI behaviors by ChatGPT or others is because users get accustomed to how consistent and reliable they are in their responses, and extend this expectation across models by the same vendor.

As a corollary, it always makes me smile when someone sends me a dm asking for my email. I have to resist the temptation of telling them that I'm sorry their search engine is broken.

You can be generous with your details on LinkedIn. You may think that it would increase spam. But it is unlikely that exporting contacts is their source. If you restrict access, you are only hurting your legitimate connections, and increasing LinkedIn's stronghold.
