Best time at the Queer(y)ing Asylum Symposium yesterday! It was amazing and hopeful and queer, and I can’t wait for the next one. Thanks to the organisers for such a good event.

Got feedback on the first draft of my final main chapter today. Feels like there is still a lot of work to do on the thesis as a whole, but actually feels like it might be possible to submit at the end of this academic year. Dr David in 2025. ?.

It’s official! We have a book cover. This has been such an enjoyable project. Those who have contributed chapters have been so generous in sharing their experiences and advice and @DrAdamBrett is the best coeditor ever. Publication will be in January. #LGBTQ #Research

I always get a lil reflective on my birthday. The fact that by the time I’m 28 I’ll (hopefully) have finished my PhD is amazing. I’m proud of how much progress I’ve made in these 3 years since starting the PhD, both on the PhD and on myself, and I’ve made some amazing friends!.
