That said, GPT-4.1 is incredibly fast and delivers similar, or even better, results in some cases, without needing a thinking mode, but I’ll be keeping testing different modes.

After using Cursor for a couple of days to include one feature in my app, I think the model I like the most so far is GPT-4.1. However, Gemini 2.5 with “thinking mode” also performs really well.
