When I teach on a historic biblical sex ethic in SF, I have one group of people mad at me & another applauding. When I teach on God’s vision of racial justice and name evil in systems I have the same group that was happy w me now mad at me and ones that were mad now applauding 🤦🏽♂️

On Pentecost Sunday we remember that it was the violence of a mob and the injustice of the State that preceded an outpouring of God’s Spirit upon His people. And that the whole promise was that God’s Spirit would be poured out on ALL FLESH. Do it again Lord.

I’ve seen power that I’ve been given reveal corruption me. Both due to immaturity and my own pride. Places where I haven’t been honest with myself and others. Ways that have lead to hurt.
