Yesterday, while watching football, I created a webhook tester for another side project I've been working on. It's so nice to be chilling and making meaningful progress on something in the background. ๐ค

The "Composer 1" model inside @cursor_ai is sick! It's not always the most correct, but it doesn't overthink, and the results are very good combined with being insanely fast.

Working on making @pushsilver pass PHPStan level 6. ๐
The first commit on this app was Feb 26, 2015, so this'll be interesting.

remember when you could just grab someone's phone when they went to the bathroom and tweet "poopin"?

This thing has literally only sat on my desk. And while this doesn't seem to be a pervasive issue (I probably got a lemon), it definitely feels like an obvious flaw in the display components that should be covered outside the warranty. Learned my lesson for sure!

They first replaced the logic board...didn't work. They then replaced the entire display panel which did work but was significantly more expensive. Granted, I didn't have AppleCare on it (I've rarely ever needed it on Apple products), but damn!

I wasn't able to use the speakers, camera, or adjust the brightness on my fully-spec'd (nano texture, tilt/height) Apple Studio Display. A $2300 USD display. I took it in to be serviced. $1300 to fix it. ๐

I've also used it as a writing collaborator for small pieces of songs I've worked on, and it's been great for generating melody ideas

Suno, in particular, has been one of the most impressive AI tools Iโve used. I've taken demos I recorded 20 years ago, put them through, and gotten versions back with polished vocals, instrumentation, and arrangements.
Suno 4.5 is one of the most impressive things I have seen so far in AI. I don't understand why almost nobody is talking about it. It's so impressive.

After a bit, I decided to do a search and see if anyone had done this before, and of course, there were. Nothing great or something I would play, so I decided to reinvent the wheel.

I've currently got a web-based version of the game running that I'm testing. I've been able to get up to level 56 (before I goofed). It's been fun thinking through the game theory!

As I started working through it, I realized there's a lot of subtle complexity. I ran through hundreds of iterations of the game board, testing various scenarios. I came up with a simple nomenclature to describe the game board and the solutions.

I didn't get a chance to vibecode it for the @TightenCo contest @LaraconUS, but started working on writing the algorithm on the plan ride home using ChatGPT.

I've been playing with an idea for a puzzle game I've had bouncing around. The concept is there's always a "correct" urinal to pick in the restroom. There are many factors at play, with unwritten, but very strict, rules on which one you should pick. Inspired by this meme:

#LaraconUS 2025 in Denver had it all. Shock. Awe. Unchecked enthusiasm. Some could not contain themselves, they were too overwhelmed.
