@nmcnews @PaulReesMBE We’re now on to item 9, ‘safeguarding stocktake update’. We hear of ‘confidence and optimism’ on this work. @nmcnews now have a ‘safeguarding hub’ made up of experts from different services and settings. Every referral since 1 Sept 2024 has been reviewed by hub. #NMCCouncil

@nmcnews @PaulReesMBE Assuming the #NMCCouncil agrees, it will mean no @nmcnews fee rise for last 10yrs which equates to 26% real terms cut. I think they could do this because of massive rises that occurred in 2013 and 2015 (near 60% increase) which gave the large reserves they’re now ‘dipping’ into.

Today I’m at the @nmcnews #NMCCouncil meeting at their HQ in London. I was struck as I walked in the building today how I must have been around a while as the potted tree now covers the sign… My longevity also hit me as I reviewed the papers for this meeting, esp on finance.
