Time to retire my EarPods that I’ve been using for meetings. They have heard too many things this past year. And the cord is frayed now.

Got this week off before starting the new job. Spending time working on home projects, going on a few day trips to go walking, and preparing for a new schedule.

Trying a Logitech MX master mouse again. I love the scroll wheel better than the Apple Magic Mouse. But the height pains my shoulder more.

Time to redo my office again. Need to focus on Making, not Meetings.

Also two channels that I'll miss from the BNR slack: #i-thank-you and #no-context. The first is a constant stream of people thanking others. And the second is filled with the most random and most of the time hilarious bits of no context heard/seen by folks.

One thing I'll miss from the BNR slack is the commitment to good humor. This is likely the funniest (and funny because its true???) things posted recently.

Last day at BNR (again). Then a 2 week break before starting at the big G.

Welp, only the 2nd time I've had to call 911 ever. Neighbors had a small fire near the side of their house and they weren't home. Their dog wouldn't let me near to try and put it out. First responders brought animal control and got it put out.

Now that my team knows, I can say publicly that the next part of my work career is about to start. I'm stepping down from my role as a Practice Director at Big Nerd Ranch. I love all the folks on my team, but I want to be back hands-on coding. Next step for me: Google.

Ep3 of the Rings of Power hits right in the feels. Loving the show and the actors (YES ALL OF THEM) are awesome.
