BTW, we are talking about 3-6 angstroms thick for those channels. This always comes up: yes carbon (1d/2d) is still well researched, still lots of stuff on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and graphene but it's all a bit further out.

Over the years, there were lots of proposals for utilizing various novel 2d materials for constructing dense nanosheet channels with exceedingly good mobility. Practically all papers this year converged on Molybdenum disulfide for nMOS & Tungsten diselenide for pMOS #IEDM2023

Finally back in-person, this year #HotChips35 is at Dinkelspiel Auditorium and I was told it's 100% sold out. It's much smaller than the usual Memorial Auditorium where HC is usually held (due to construction).
