The marketing campaign for PLURIBUS gave so little away that I was borderline annoyed by it… but having watched the outstanding first episode I’m glad I was kept in the dark. Also Rhea Seehorn… what a great actor/director pairing.

Watched two John Carpenter films and really enjoyed both: Prince of Darkness, which I saw years ago but couldn’t remember (40 yr old grad student lol), and In the Mouth of Madness, which was a blind spot: kind of amazing how inventive the latter is, maybe ahead of its time.

Just once I wish someone would say “the sex scenes stop the narrative dead but who cares they’re fun”
