I'm constantly starting tests and demos of Rails apps and other tools. This new try tool from @tobi looks exactly what I didn't even realize that I needed!

We've been using React Scan to be able to detect performance issues with our components. I'm now going to contribute back by adding detailed data about re-renders on console. Thanks @aidenybai for creating this tool!

I tried using the reference videos that you can find in Huggingface, but you can upload your 1:1 aspect ratio reference video as well. You can also run the code locally if you prefer it.

The image in the middle is the original uploaded image, left and right reference and edited video. It takes about 60s to generate a clip like this:

Live Portrait is really cool. In good conditions, the generated results are impressive. To get the best results, the reference video shouldn't have a lot of movement. Some examples I tried:

Every good story follows the 3F framework: 1. Facts: The actual message you want to convey. 2. Fun: Add something that breaks the ice and makes it less serious. 3. Feeling: What makes it human and relatable. Think of those on your next video or in the next essay you write.

The new Final Cut Camera app feels like the perfect middle point between "not enough manual controls" from the stock app, and "too many settings" in the Blackmagic Camera app. Well done!

When I share things that I've learned, I don't want to just summarize generic facts and principles. To avoid that, I combine those elements to make my content unique: · Generic fact/principle. · I extend it with my previous knowledge. · How am I apply it by using examples.

One of my favorite storytelling frameworks is from Kindra Hall. It breaks down the story into three main parts: 1. Normal: Introduces context, setting, and characters. 2. Explosion: An incident happens that kicks off the story. 3. New normal: Your main character has changed.

3. Customers stories • Let them share their testimonial. • Present these as interviews or short testimonials. • Explain how your product changed their lives.

2. Explain your story as a founder: • Share how you ended up creating your product. • What were your motivations. • Describe who you are now and how the product has changed you.

In which ways can you do it: 1. What value do you add? • Use a potential user POV, could be inspired by real customers experience. • What value is that person getting? • Include details your target audience can relate to.

As humans, we feel connected to other humans. When sharing stories spontaneously, we don't put products as the center. We use ourselves as the main character and we explain which problem was solved for us. Why do otherwise when doing marketing?
