Finally got around to watching Kes last night. Beautiful stuff. No one does it quite like Ken Loach either. And I absolutely wasn’t prepared for the ending.
Remembering author Barry Hines born on this day in 1939 who wrote the great book Kes, this is from the film which is as good as the book

Sun Stop is out today! Absolutely delighted it’s a collab with my good pal @theluxalma. It’s also a tribute to her late brother Bruce, remember seeing the legendary photo of him by @rgilliganphoto on Our Lady’s Bridge in Kenmare many years ago and it always stuck with me.

It’s definitely been more fun making music with other people over the last while. For the video we decided to use different forms of analog photography - for fun but also because it's a chemical process and the results would simply be the results, an exercise in commitment.
