There is no record of a worldwide flood in the last 11,000 years.
The flood myth of the Bible couldn’t have been global.
If it even happened at all it was local to the ancient Hebrews and their neighbors.
Lots of peoples worldwide have such myths.
Do you know any?

I did recently see a video (non-religious) and it said Straight of Gibraltar was blocked during the last ice age, and when the "dam" broke, the entire Mediterranean filled up in the matter of weeks. It would have caused massive flooding in that part of the world.
Gitchi-Manitou decided to cleanse the Earth by bringing about a flood. The surviving animals took turns diving for mud to recreate the earth. Muskrat managed to grab a piece, and Sky Woman spread it upon turtle's back. The wind blew from 4 directions and the mud grew into land.

Yes. Biblical writers also used the word ‘world’ to describe a large geographic area at certain times, not literally the whole world. It is possible the flood was only contained to a certain area.

At one time the Mediterranean sea was dry.
People farmed the rich valley.
Some travelers from the west saw that it was only a matter of time before the Strait of Gibraltar was going to wash through.
They told Noah to get ready .

The flooding you are referring to likely took place around 5-6 million years ago. This is well before any modern day humans are believed to be on the planet.
