There is a certain religious belief that people born today will not die. We don’t have any mechanistic understanding of why this would be true. IMO, we need a combo of pharma/lifestylemaxxing/gene mods to be bullish on 10-30 year avg life extension. Beyond that gets difficult.

I found this image in a paper from the 1930's. These rats are the same age, but one obviously looks younger. The rat on the right had a treatment of Caloric Restriction (CR). We've been extending rat lifespan, by up to 40%, for 90 years.
