TBH one of the biggest issues was the community itself. Top players & streamers perma outta voice flaming other people for tryharding in ranked is when the experience went downhill. When the best / most influential players have this mindset then it spreads to everyone else.

Ok it's crazy how blinded people are by nostalgia . 2020-2022: CONTENT DROUGHT / everyone stopped using mics . 2019: BRIG / GOATS HELL. 2018: ow classic tells you enough about this . community made the games way more enjoyable pre 2020 but the game was genuinely so much worse.
