His 2 guys he refused to trade were Tatis and Merrill and he also did not want to trade James Wood at all. Wood is probably the best young player he’s ever traded. Why do we act like his amateur scouting evaluations go out the window when making trades?.

Legit thought, we always hold AJ as a scout in high regards but what if he didn’t hold LDV at the same level as the public did. Teams don’t operate based on MLB Pipeline. Merrill was such a favorite of his he would refused trading him and he’s turned out to be an all star.
@dannybarrand_ Bergert and Kolek for a backup catcher. Andres Muñoz and Ty France for Austin Nola. Josh Naylor and more for Clevinger. AJ has an amazing talent in finding incredible prospects. He lacks the patience to develop them. AJ the scout, the best. AJ the GM, flawed.

Every season since 2021 there has been a fire Preller campaign at least once during the season. I’ve only ever really bought into it during 2023 and I still think he’s the right guy for the job.
