I actually live in New York and have made $131K/year and felt just barely comfortable paying $2300 in rent lol. This whole argument is so fucking stupid and no one who actually lives in New York is falling for it 💙
Because in NYC, it is! Whether or not it should be is another discussion. A rent stabilized apartment should never be occupied by an assemblyman making 131K per year. That’s the point.
