Hard to believe it’s the 10th anniversary of the start of #Euromaidan, #Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity. Proud to have been there & to have witnessed such immense acts of heroism from ordinary people. Russia doesn’t stand a chance. Ukraine will never give up its independence. 🇺🇦

This is an important contribution to the debate. Let’s take the case of Syria, a country I know well. Refugee camps in nearby Lebanon are full of women/children while 14y/o+ males seek asylum thousands of miles away, dividing families and destroying post-war economic recovery.
The asylum system is not working. It cannot cope with a world of proliferating conflict, cheap travel and huge wage disparities. A more pragmatic approach starts by helping refugees find shelter closer to home
