The year ended on a high, celebrating with my amazing family: Julie, our six kids and their partners, and our three granddaughters. There was laughter, too much screaming, and even a cheeky half cider for me.

What followed was 8 tough weeks: 3 hotels, a rental, & dealing with insurance companies and claims management firms that cared more about cutting costs than helping us rebuild. It’s been a battle, but we’re nearly there, with plans for our home’s rebuild finally moving forward.
