For some, the teacher shortage has been a reality for nearly 10 years.Overwhelmingly students of color experience the revolving teacher.Our response? Bandaids, shortsighted policies…Teaching is a profession. Time to create a system that honors that truth.
Tonight at my kids' district board meeting, they said they still have 66 K-12 Certified Classroom postings. One is for my son's 8th grade honors science class. He told me tonight he thinks they may be without a teacher for the whole school year. 💔 He is not a packet kid. 😥
