Amazing effort by Mark ‘Sally’ Jenkins today! 50K! Unbelievable Sally!
A reminder you can still donate to our two designated causes, Dafen CP School and Prince Phillip Breast Care Unit.(See above)
The inaugural Mark Davies Memorial Match was a great tribute to Mark.
A good competitive game, with the 1-1 draw being a fitting result for he occasion.

Steve Coomey has also smashed a marathon!
What another great example of effort and dedication, Steve has pushed himself throughout, a great bloke and a credit to Dafen Welfare AFC.
Super Steve has clocked up 332km to raise money, giving Mo Farah a run for his money!

Macron West Wales League game of the season ended in a 2-0 defeat to

L/R Cory Charles, Craig Templeton and Ross Jones.
Unfortunately game had to be stopped again 1st half yesterday due to dog mess needing to be picked up. 2nd half a player needed to swap his jersey as he slid in a pile of dog mess. Not great 😬

Another character gone too soon. We’ll miss you. Our condolences are extended to his family and friends.
A special mention for one of our elder statesmen, Dafen Club Secretary

- Clem has been an integral part of Dafen for longer than most of the first team have been alive - and since Saturday has clocked over 30KM to raise money for the community, smashing it Clem 👏🔵
Great day for the club. All 3 senior teams winning. U10s &U15s winning,to top that our u6s played their 1st game this morning. As a result the committee have decided no senior training this week. Put your feet up, rest and relax. We go again next week

Dafen Welfare AFC are delighted to announce that we have organised our 2021 club tour ‘Dafen to Ibiza’
We are looking to raise funds for two fantastic establishments within the community:
🔹Prince Philip Hospital Breast Care Unit
🔹Dafen School
We just wanted to recognise those involved in the challenge, you need only look at the pictures and see the age range - that is what Dafen Welfare AFC is all about, one club - young and old - pulling together to help the community, keep smashing it lads 💙

Our thoughts are with all the family especially former players Richard,

Steve Coomey is out there pounding the roads this morning whilst most are asleep - great effort and a great message for anyone not quite feeling it today 👏🔵
After much discussion, we shall be suspending all footballing activities until mid January
The club has always insured the health and safety of our players, coaches and members above all else
We would also like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, stay safe and a happy new year!
More sad news again yesterday with the passing of Colin Davies. Colin was a stalwart in our teams of the 70's and 80's. A fine keeper.
Here he is pictured in our Senior Cup winning team of 1976-77.
RIP Col 'the goalie'
Some massive news to share - Dafen Welfare has made it to Ibiza... in week 2!
We don’t plan to stop here, we will keep hammering the challenge and make our way through Africa - who knows where we will end up?!
Not going to show continuous photos of dog mess but the issues are still ongoing. Please dog owners pick up your dog mess. This is part of being a dog owner. Be responsible. Rant over.

why he’s getting involved in the challenge 🔵
Get behind him at:
Dafen’s first team LB extraordinaire
@REvans132
has told us why he’s taking part in Dafen to Ibiza, a massive feat running long distances for someone who usually cramps up in the first half - doing an excellent job so far and really captures the meaning behind the challenge 🔵
Lads were moaning they wanted a payrise after Saturday's performance. Committee couldn't agree to that but management have given the lads a week off training.

Dafen to Ibiza we said ☀️
The boys got a bit bored on the White Isle in lockdown and thought we’d keep going...
Currently in Ghana 🇬🇭

“Anything Steve can do, I can do better” 🎵
Sir Phil has blown the boys away today with a pearler of a run, 31km and looks like he is ready to go again. What will Super Steve do next? A great sign of the effort going in behind the scenes to help two great causes 🔵
#WAWBA
Good morning all, we spoke to Dafen’s very own James Milner, midfield engine, a cat between the sticks
@Jack_G_Jones
- he’s got it all, to ask why he is getting involved in the challenge, wise words from the man himself 👏
A great day at St George’s Park today as our 60s representative squad faced England . Despite being 2-0 down goals from Mele & White got us level only to be beaten late on.
FY England 3-2 Wales , well done to all involved .
A minute silence was held before to today’s
@PremierWales
fixture against
@PontarddulaisFC
in memory of former player and current programme editor, Neil Dymock’s mother, who passed away this week.
Next up we’ve got the gaffer.
@Richard33304534
more commonly known as Wiggy.
He’s been a big part of motivating the boys over the years as, and it’s continued in this challenge.
Up and out at 5am, probably because Kelly has kicked him out but we don’t care, cracking effort🔵
More sad news with the passing of Phil Bennett. Our condolences are extended to Pat, Stephen & James.
A rugby icon and a great ambassador for Llanelli. A person who never forgot his roots. A lovely man.
Sad day.
