A Venus fly trap polymer clay figurine I’ve made for Bay Area carnivorous plant show showroom’s artwork section last weekend 🌿 it’s a lot of fun making plant themed figurines then adding a smoool bug friend to it!

“Shrimps is bugs” is a funny meme, but there’s some truth in the reverse version, “Bugs is shrimps” 🐛🦐 Since insects are literally a group of terrestrial crustacean. And among all the insects, bristletails are probably the most shrimp-like in my opinion!

Centipedes are highly misunderstood creatures, so I’m really happy to hear multiple requests on drawing those beautiful danger noodles (leggy version)! Their “fangs” are actually a pair of modified legs, and those curly antennae are my favorite parts

Happy World Oceans Day! As a bug person I don’t have a lot of marine themed arts, but for the ones I’ve occasionally done I really enjoyed creating them! Anyone want to see me doing more marine critters?

My new velvet ant polymer clay figurine design! Those little cuties are not true ants but wingless parasitoid wasps that are fluffy, velvety, and packed with hot stingers! Their clay version are totally harmless thought 💚

*Niche critter profile*. We all love stag beetles, but do you know there are a few stag beetle genus that are myrmecophilous (evolved to live with ants or termites)? They are tiny but look unique and bizarre in a different way compared to their big and showy relatives!
